Hi.
I have a small Xvid (.avi) file that I want to convert to DVD format. Normally, I would use AVI2DVD to do this. It is crashing due to an audio glitch of some sort, early on in the video. The avi does seem to play fine in mediaplayer. I can extract the audio file (using Graphedit), and even convert it to .ac3 (or whatever) for use later in an authoring program, but still have problems dealing with the original file's audio.
AVI2DVD doesn't give me the option to ignore/delete the audio stream. How can I get around this? I tried to frameserve with Virtualdub to reencode in (good old) TMPEnc 12f, but couldn't get it to work (it didn't like the file, or I just didn't do it right).
Any suggestions would be great.

Try converting the audio in Virtualdub first, then use avi2dvd
set VIDEO to direct stream copy(it will not convert the video)
set AUDIO to full processing mode( it will convert the audio to PCM)
go to file then SAVE TO AVI -
Set Audio to "no audio" and save just the video stream. Or you can mux in your new audio file if necessary.

Thanks a great deal! That worked great. I was pretty close...I just didn't set the video to Direct stream copy and it wasn't saving right.
Problem solved (I think)"I think I know exactly what I mean, when I say it's a Shpadoinkle day!"
