if this is wrong forum im sorry please move

    been using this guide

    https://forum.videohelp.com/topic301015.html

and ive used dvd decryptor to extract the VOB and IFO from each episode of the NTSC DVD.

VOB plays fine with no audio sync problems.

Every time ive used AutoGordianKnot it comes out with a major delay of audio to video.

    any suggestions or ideas?

If it's just a constant offset it's no big deal.

Load into vdubmod, select streams, stream list, right click audio and select interleaving.
set delay plus or minus. find the value and direct strem copy, , to a new synced avi.

vdub may not be ideal to actually determine the offset.
you can also try media player classic,
under play, audio, options, find delay box, and play around with it.
enter value into vdub and stream copy.

is there any easier way? cause i really dont wanna have to dub to the xvid, than redo the audio.

nvm i used DVD2AVI got a audio steam and a video stream, than used vdubmod and found its at a 1800ms delay ..

Your going from vob to avi anyway .

Set video in vdub to direct stream copy .
Set audio to direct stream copy .
    Set audio delay .

    Constant :

If audio behind video , set delay by using the 1800 value (push audio forward) .
If audio ahead of video , must include -1800 (negative symbol to bring it back , start earlier) .

Save as new avi , check new avi is in sync .

    Yes = delete original
No = delete new avi and repeat audio delay technique to improve sync .

Audio with varied position sync issue is another problem , mostly caused by vbr audio stream ... only time and effort will fix that ... audacity can help but its a slow process .

    ----

Warning : Do not preview clips in vdub or its variants ... audio will eventually slip behind everytime .

Use any other media player to preview clip .

Note : Where you see > Next click the "Advanced Settings" button < , about midway down in that guide , clear off vbr , use cbr , less headaches later if you decide to re-encode the avi to any other format .
