I have a dvd (someone made from vhs) where a buzz occurs when people speak, gets louder if they speaker louder. I don't know if the vcr was in hifi or mono.
After demuxing, aside from trying to sample the buzz to subtract it thru noise reduction (which usually makes a tinkling compressed-artifact noise), is there another cleaning method? It's not a declicking issue.

Getting the original tape...and check the tracking during playback. I have heard this from VHS HiFi tapes before.
Good luck
