I have understood that you should install ATI cards
using certain steps in order to make the installing go smoothly,
is this right and if so what are these steps.
I have currently an old ATI all-in-wonder (8Mb 2x AGP) installed.
Any other good tips recarding this card,
for example should I install this dirext video patch ???
Thanks

I have this same card. If you follow their instructions they're actually very good(ie uninstall any ati driver in the add dellete software, tell your computer you have a standard svga card. physically install the card, install new drivers and mmc(or download the latest)).
By the way you might want to download the drivers from rage3d.com. their drivers are a bit faster than ati's.
i'm not sure what you mean by dirext patch. If you mean direct x youshould download the latest from microsoft instead.
