    Hello to everybody.

I have 3 movies in AVI ( A, B, C) . All them running at PC ( VLC, Windows Media Player), but in the TV-DVD, only B and C. I copied A to another DVD, alone, but it happened the same. It didn't run.
Anybody can tell me why? What must I do to have that movie working properly?

    Thank you for your help.

Jomapil - I understand that English may not be your first language, but your post doesn't have enough information nor does it really explain what you are doing. Try again if you want help. Give us more details in English or post in Portuguese if you must as somebody might be able to read it and help you.

If you mean dvd player that supports mpeg4 play, try the one thats not playing in gspot and check for qpel, compare the other two clips against the non-playing one to determine if anything is different.

Then there's avi containers to be aware of.

Excuse me but, in effect, English is not my first language. I wanted to explain very well the problem and it was exactly the opposite. I solved the problem with ConvertXtoDVD but it is a solution that delays much time and uses 6 times more of space. A friend of mine said me that it is so, because my DVD Player doesn't support that Codec. So I ask you with so many utilities (programs) please tell me if there are some programs to change this " abnormal Codec " in one equal to the other movies that run in my DVD.
I hope that now I am more explained.

Thank you to everybody that help me.

If your DVD player cannot play Xvid/Divx files (look for the Divx logo on the case), then you must convert to mpeg-2, which will require around 3 - 4 times the space. You can fit around 10 - 12 hours on a single layer disc if you use Xvid for encoding. You can get around 2 hours of the same quality use mpeg-2.

All DVD Video uses mpeg-2 for encoding (mpeg-1 in rare circumstances).

ConvertXtoDVD is one program. Also very good (and free) are FAVC and DVD Flick.
