  1. Hello Guys I have a very strange problem with my DX-3255, first of all I never should bought this standalone DVD player so I dont recommanded to others.
My problem is that Original movies that I rent from a video store can be played very well & smoothly without any problem but when I burn a movie on any type of media ( I USED ANY KIND OF MEDIA ) and put it in to watch it's starts to reading make humming noises and finally after 10-15 seconds trying to read it says NODISC. I tried every burning software, rippers. etc.. etc.. also I tried a lot of media and thats why I don't think that is a media issue here beacuase that media that has been recorded it plays very well on my other standalone player and I never had any trouble with it, Im talking aboout PIONEER DV-300-K. I tried to search for a firmware upgrade maybe there is an upgrade which can solve this problem but on H&B website there's nothing, I also emailed them maybe I could get an answer but nothing. I will appriciate if omeone could help me here

    THANKS!!!!

My first guess would still be a media issue. Some players are really picky about the brand/type of media that they will play. A quality media such as Verbatim or TY (taio yuden) is the best bet. You can try looking in the DVD Players section for your player and see which media other users may have been successful in using. Aside from that, it is a matter of trial and error to find which works in your player. You may also need to find out which type your player supports (ie: + or -), not all players can handle both.

The only other thing that comes to mind is faulty hardware. It's possible the player just has a cheap/faulty laser that cannot read burnt media.

  3. Verbatim I did not used them to be honest but I dont know why TDK and Sony for example can't read them.
    Anyway I'll try something VERBATIM.
