Greetings!
I am having issues with finding a decent .MOV editor for the PC. I have tried various conversion software to convert .MOV to .AVI prior to editing, and it seems impossible to get lossless conversions - black specks, audio/video don't match, and similar problems.
I have tried using Adobe Premier Pro 1.5 and the problem I persistently have is that during editing & encoding the framerate is very low, though the audio plays at normal speed and is fine. The software is quite complex and difficult for a novice to use. I am looking for something that is nearly as easy to use as Windows Movie Maker but allows editing of .MOV files. Freeware, Shareware, paid software...whatever works, I am willing to try it.
Thank you!

Personally I hate .mov but unfortunately sometimes I have to convert this stupid Apple shite to DVD-Videos too because some of my friends have cameras taking video in this format.
What I suggest (and that's what I do) is this:
Open your MOV file with QuickTime Player. Export it as uncompressed AVI.
From there you can do with it anything (convert uncompressed AVI to anything with basically any possible video encoder or program you can find on the planet) and this is also best "lossless" conversion way I know of.
