I suppose Democracy, but it doesn't generally seem to work.

DVDFab HD Decrypter can copy it to the HD but it is incapable of cleaning up. So the DVD Shrink3.2 cannot proceed.

DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
    Out of memory
The paging file is too small for this operation to complete.

Does anyone know What it means and how to fix it?

I used DVDFab HD Decrypter to copy the full movie to my hard drive. I prefer to use DVD Rebuilder and will back it up over night sometime. In order to help you though, I opened DVD Shrink and dragged the movie over and it went through the analysis normally. No error messages. I clicked to Re-author, because I'm only interested in backing up only the movie. No error messages again. Maybe you could try it again. Maybe you had a bad rip. Hope this helps.

When I've ran across something that won't go through DVDShrink after ripping with DVD Fab Decrypter, I usually break out FixVTS. Although this little application hasn't been developed in a while, when I run across a problem it has always fixed it for me.

RipIt4Me did a great job on this one.
If you want to do even more cleaning, process the files with PgcEdit.

This type of DVD is probably the most difficult to back up. Maybe it is due to the Blue-ray DVD. There is no problem to back up it to the HDD with the DVDFab HD Decrypter 4. The Nero as well as DVD Shrink3.2 have problems. I tested the DVD Shrink 3.2 again. It occurred in the middle of the encoding, out of memory. not enough storage is available to process this command. Maybe the DVDFab HD Decrypter 4 has not cleaned up yet. The RipIt4Me works. However, the RipIt4Me may cause distortion in some parts. The problem may be in the stage of the DVD Decrypter. Havn’t try the DVD Rebuilder to shrink the size. Even if selection of the Main movie only, the size still cannot fit the 4.7GB DVD. So the ImgBurn cannot apply. Please share your experience.

I used DVDFab HD Decrypter 4.1.0.2 to rip the whole disc to hard drive. Then opened those files with DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15 to do a little minor editing. Then burnt the whole disc to a DL with ImgBurn 2.4.0.0. No problems. It played fine.
coody, I bet you didn't use the latest version of DVDFab HD Decrypter(?)

Thanks for reminding. Ever downloaded the DVD Fab HD Decrypter 4.0.2.1 last December. After downloaded the most recent version, it worked very well. We should frequently visit https://www.videohelp.com/tools/DVDFab_Decrypter, shouldn’t we? Has anyone tested the other four movies, Atonement, Juno, Michael Clayton and There Will Be Blood with the DVD Fab HD Decrypter 4.0.2.1, by the way?

You know, I've got to meet your friend. Juno's street date is April 15, and There Will Be Blood's street date is April 8th. He's getting some really early shipments.

I was able to rip "Atonement" with 1clickdvdcopypro/DVD43. I ripped "Michael Clayton" using DVDFab Platinum ver. 4.0.1.2.

I saw the DVDFab update is Download 4.1.1.5 Beta (Mar 18, 2008). What does the Beta version mean? Should it be downloaded?

I'm not an expert on DVDFab HD Decrypter. In fact I avoid it as much as possible and seldom have to use it. It's nice that it's there when nothing else works. My understanding is... beta generally means that the software is still not thoroughly tested so could be unstable or contain bugs. Therefore I never download beta versions of this or any other software. You can read the beta notes and see if it contains anything special you might need, otherwise I suggest waiting til the next non-beta version is released. At least that's what I do.
