  1. I'm trying to mux an MPEG-2 m2v and an ac3 file together into a Program Stream. I've tried muxing them together using mpeg-vcr, tmpgenc, XMuxer Pro and even muxing to a ts and then converting to a mpg file. But all of them, bar XMuxer, output a file which show as having 0 duration.

The mpg file output from Xmuxer does have the correct prorperties (e.g. duration) when streamed to my PS3 but the audio is out-of-sync with the video and the timeshift setting in Xmuer doesn't seem to do anything.

What causes the outputted mpg file to have a duraiton of 0? Is this something I can fix as the files that output with a duration of 0 don't have any synching issues.

Have you tried PVA Strumento? i use it to demux and clean up and re-time my Hauppauge MPEG PS streams before authoring. It can also generate a PS.

  3. Nope. I'll give it a try just now.

EDIT: OK, I muxed my m2v and ac3 to a TS file and then loaded them into PVA Strumento to create a PS. It's done 5% and estimates it will take another 5hrs to do the rest

Try to mux the files with ImagoMPEG-Muxer and then create a PES stream with projectx

  6. I've tried muxing to a TS using tsMuxer and then converting to a PS (mpg) using HDTVtoMPEG2. ImagoMPEG-Muxer doesn't like the m2v because it's HD (1080p).

    Weird???

  7. Has anyone else had the issue of the timeshift not working in XMuxer Pro?

What about resetting the timestamps of the m2v file with ReStream

  9. Tried all of the suggestions above but unfortunately, no joy

Looks like I'll just have to make do with the date/duration not being shown in WMP or on my PS3. It plays fine, just me being picky.
