I purchased a Pioneer DV-400V "region free" DVD player to play Region 2 DVDs on a Toshiba Regza 32HL67 television. The seller on ebay guaranteed that this player would play any DVD on any television. Well, it plays the DVDs fine, but the picture is in black and white. Any suggestions? Thanking you in advance,

Check the TV output setting on the DVD player and be sure it is set to NTSC and not to "ANY" or "MULTI". If you can't check the setting or it already says NTSC, blame the player.

People on Ebay do lie. My personal code is that I don't buy anything on Ebay unless it's cheap enough that I can afford to get ripped off on it.
