I suspect you are getting exactly what you ask for, but your PC is so screwed up you can't here it.

What software are you using for play back ?

Have you installed any codec packs ?

Have you tried burning to a DVD and playing back in a reliable standalone player (not a PS2) ?

Have you tried ripping the entire disc, then using DVD Shrink in re-author mode to get Movie Only ?

Does your PC play other videos without locking up ?

Are you running the latest graphics drivers ?

been through most of that stuff.I do notice that I am now geting audio loss through the dvd player (drive itself).Never had issuse before.Everything is up to date.Players-vlc-nvidia-ati multimedia-windows media-powerdvd-divx-nero-winamp.I wonder ---I might be having power supply issues. The only thing that has changed in my system,i put 2 more hard drives in.Would that cause these types of problems?

Do you mean PC drive - then write it PC drive!
