Hello, I am new here so allow me to explain my predicament. I have some home-made DVDs with custom menus and I essentially need to make new DVDs from the video files on the old ones. What is the basic process for converting the raw VOB files to a new format that can be dragged into DVD Studio Pro and used as brand new files with the same quality? Also, I am on a Mac with OS X. Thanks, Tom

	Mpeg Streamclip can demux the video content ready for DVD Studio Pro. As there is no re-encoding involved, the process should be quick and there will be no change in quality. Read my blog here.

	Thank you very much for your immediate help guns1inger! I downloaded the program and it works perfectly. My next question is what format in Mpeg Streamclip do I need to convert the files to so that the video/audio are separated and in mpeg2 or whatever format they need to be in? Thanks again.

	You don't need to convert them, I don't believe.Originally Posted by guns1inger

	Mpeg Streamclip just needs to DEMUX the files back into their elementary
 streams.
 So You would select when in MpegStreamclip, from the menu,
 File-->Demux to...._-> and choose what MpegStreamclip tells
 you the files, audio and video, are when it is loaded in its proprietary window, at the bottom of the window.

 If it says the audio is 192 kbps AC3, then you would choose:
 File-->Demux to m2v and ac3.
 If it says the audio is 128 kpbs AIF, then you would choose:
 File-->Demux to m2v and aif."Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."
