  1. we have a cheapo BUSH 32" LCD HD-TV and its just starting to show a problem as of late..

    this only happens when watching SKY (through SCART) and only seems to happen after its been on for a while (though not certain),

    what happens is a re-allignment of the picture seems to shimmer up the screen every now and again..

    it looks like a line going up the screen but its actually the image being moved back over a few pixels, it takes about 1-2 seconds for this line to run up the screen and only happens on occasions...

    What can be causing this?

    when i playback DVDs (HDMI) this never happens

    Thanks in advance

    How do you know it's the TV and not the Sky receiver? How many SCARTs has it and have you tried a different one. What other inputs are available and have you tried them. Does the DVD player do it via SCART?

  3. hi...

    this problem has just started recently - I havent tried any other cables but you may well be right in suggestin it could be the SKY box...

    setup:

    SKY -> SCART -> TV
    DVD -> HDMI -> TV

    thats it...

    It also only 'appears' to happen on some SKY channels - the likes of BBC1/iTV seem fine but Bravo etc (Non-Widescreen channels) seem to be the culprits it happens on....

    It's not your digibox. Your tv has a terrible buffering while digitizing SCART sources. It happens on TVs not design for Europe and then for various reasons they change some parts and bring them here.

    Try a S-Video connection if possible, it might look better. If that also fails, try simply RF.

  5. thanks

    thing is its not all the time just occasionally and only seems to happen on certain channels like bravo and Discovery... the TV never done this on my old DVD player through SCART also...

    The SKY box doesnt have any other connection other than SCART or RF.. im gunna try RF to see if its any better quality wise but I doubt it

    Oh I don't know. I've got a Panasonic Sky box here and the quality is appalling not matter how you connect it. Thankfully I've got a Freeview IDTV so can watch good quality off air.
