Hi,
I have a HP Compaq nx6110 laptop which doesn't have a tv-out. I recently bought an Samsung LCD TV - LE27S7. I also bought a D-sub cable and I tried to connect them, but on my TV it says "No Signal". I tried to set the resolution on the laptop, but no result. Can somebody help me by telling me what might be the problem? How can I connect my laptop with my tv?
Cheers,
Aneta

You'll probably have to switch displays on the laptop. Most laptops with a D-sub socket will have a means of routing the screen to the built in display, an external display or both. I have a Fujitsu Lifebook and to do as you are trying to do I have to connect to the TV, select the correct input (which then gives me the same No Signal message) and then switch the display on the laptop.
On mine it is Function F10, yours will be similar if not the same. Each time I hold down the Function key and press F10, it switches from laptop display to TV to both and then back to laptop display again.
