I noticed that if I try to edit a video captured by my Dazzle DVCII at 7000 kbit variable, DVDMF will crash sometime during the encode. Videos captured at anywhere between 5500 to 6999 are fine. 7000 is fine on other programs.
DVDMF will not crash if the video is captured at 7000 but the target encode is done at 6999 or less. The quality though in that case is not good.
What is magical about the 7000 bit rate ?
