Open the file in Virtualdubmod. Click on Streams -> Stream List. Right-click on the audio track and choose Full Processing. Right-Click again and choose Compression. Set the compression to Uncompressed PCM. Now click on Save WAV.

Open the WAV in your audio editor, and copy one channel over the other (doesn't matter which) using a mix mode. Now copy the new, mixed channel over the old channel using a replace mode. Save the new audio out as MP3, and use it to replace the old track in oyur video.

  4. What do you mean by "fix it"? Do you want to get rid of the voices or the music? Do you want to downmix to mono?

VirtualDub has a nice audio editing system built in. Enable Audio -> Full Processing Mode, Audio -> Use Advanced Filtering, and go to Audio -> Filters. Build a filter graph there to do what you want.

In this example one of the stereo outputs is thrown away and the remaining channel is duplicated to both the left and right channels. Input is the stereo source. Stereo Split splits the source into two mono channels. Discard is throwing away the left channel. The right channel is split into two separate mono channels by Split. Stereo Merge merges the two mono channels into one stereo channel. Output outputs the audio to the compression codec.

By fixing it im saying I want it to actually be stereo. Now im hearing voices on the left side and music on the right side. I want all those sounds to be equally distributed between both headphones not to be split like it is. guns1inger even with the main avi the sound is split like this and it will still work?

If you do what you are asking for you will end up with mono since L and R will be identical. You can use a chorus effect to help give a pseudo stereo effect. I'm not familiar with VirtualDub so I can not suggest how.

I will use any program that will fix this strange issue. Someone suggested sound forge 8 in a help room. Should I just use cool edit pro and combine both channels?

When I open it I see this error message:
[!] AVI: Variable bitrate (VBR) audio detected. VBR audio in AVI is
non-standard and you may encounter sync errors up to 124862ms when
attempting to extract WAV files or processing the audio in Direct Stream

    the audio. (bitrate: 147.3 ± 31.9 kbps)

  10. So, do what it says, and build a graph to combine the two channels.

  14. Are you sure you have the correct filter? It should appear with both pins when you add it:
