The audio and video are out of sync before I even output my project? I add my video files, create my menu then I go to the Simulation screen to preview it and it is very out of sync. I though maybe it was just within tda so I created my video_ts folder but the resulting output is the same. Is there a way to somehow offset the audio so it starts sooner or later so I can try to sync them up?

For avi xvids I would use something else like dvd flick, favc, convertxtodvd. If you want nicer menus than those all-in-one converters you could import the DVD in TDA and recreate menus.

Thats actually what I do now but I figured if I could do everything in TDA it would save a step. I though maybe this was a common issue and maybe there was a quick fix since the sync issue is before the actual convert maybe it was a setting within tda? I'll just continue to use convertxtodvd to convert and then tda to author. Thanks

There should be an offset setting available in the Audio Filter section of the Clip Edit page. I think it's not called Offset; maybe 'Delay', or something like that.

Interesting. I'll ckeck that out tonight after work. In the meantime can anyone else confirm this, perhaps a screenshot of where the setting is? Thanks

I'd be guessing VBR MP3, and would fix that before encoding. Otherwise you may find it doing all sorts of odd things. There are plenty of posts on how to fix the audio before encoding. Either that, or use a tool that understands and deals with VBR MP3 audio correctly. Baldrick's list covers the main ones.

In the Clip Edit window, click on the musical note icon in the lower left corner, to bring up the Audio filters window.

There, select the Audio Gap tab, and activate Audio Gap Correction. The correction is in milliseconds.
