as the topic states I can't get any video to show (although I have audio) since reinstalling windows... I have redownloaded all the codecs I had previously and it won't work. I have the K-lite mega pack and I have even tried media player classic and VLC player and still now video but i have audio. if anyone can give me any tips I would greatly appreciate it. thanks....

Ensure you have the latest video drivers installed. Then you will want to calibrate the monitor (nVidia drivers have a built-in calibration tool) and then check the video overlay settings.

Please indicate the video chipset involved

Calibration of monitor is next to useless without the appropriate gpu drivers installed

There are times when the latest video driver package is not the most suitable , and may require down grading to previous versions more suitable for the current chipset
