    What audio for XviD movies does everyone recommend?

    5.1 ac3
    mp3
    or DTS?

    What's the goal ?

    If size is the more important factor, then stereo MP3 at 112 - 128 kbps

    If audio fidelity is the main factor, then keep the AC 5.1

    DTS probably isn't worth considering except in specific circumstances. You need to have the right playback equipment to decode the audio, and many standalone players won't read DTS from an AVI container anyway.
