I am trying to save DVD without quality loss for the future video editing. But when I convert VOB files to DV format I get the file with worse picture then original. Does anyone know how to do this?

  2. What programs are you using for conversion and editing? When you say DV format, what file type is it, mpeg 2?

DV is not uncompressed. It is compressed at a ratio of approximately 5 : 1.

    Dear guns1inger,
Are you trying to say or advise me something? Or it's just a remark?
