I have tried so many DVDs which I know run fine in my DVD player but I get this error on my PC.

I gather you get this error message with every DVD you put in your pc? I presume also that you have checked that the DVD's haven't got fingerprints, or other stains on them and are the right side up (one has to ask these sort of questions sometimes!).
It could be that your PC DVD drive is damaged in some way. To determine this, try ripping a VOB file off the DVD and copying to your hard drive. Then try the file mode of your DVD software player and see if you can view (play) the VOB.
If the same error message appears, then its a software problem - if not most likely a hardware one. You cuold be lucky and try installing your drivers (if there were any) for your drive again and checking the connections etc. Also see if you have loaded some software that could interfere with your drive - maybe 2 different burning software that are imcompatible etc.
Hope this helps you -
May be its a software conflict as I have Nero and adaptec direct cd installed together.
I know its not a hardware problem because the drive works fine with VCDs and I ran a dvd on it about 3-4 days ago (before I got a new 256mb RAM) -

hello,
Every DVD(3 pieces of DVD+r 16x from Tevion/ALDi) i have burned with Powerproducer 2, 3 ,4
has the same error message, when i try to play the dvd+r.
-> error 8902003 : DVD damaged
I am trying to play each of those 3 DVDs with Cyberhome CH-DVD 401(for TV) or my LG HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4167B(for PC). (Playing on PC with PowerDVD XP)
Its everytime the same errormessage at the same sequence in film.
The diffrences of the burned 3 DVD+Rs are, that the higher versions(with powerproducer 3,4) are defragmented later in the critical sequence in the film.
But in the captured avi's the film(120minutes) is 100% ok.
And in the created VideoFolder from Powerproducer on my Harddisk on PC is also 100% ok.
And theres everytime a succed-message from Powerproducer, when i burn on DVD+R.
With another film(65minutes) i burned in the exactly same way before there was no problem in that way.
So I found this forum, read this article and tried out the advices:
I tried to ripping the last sequence in which the errormessages appears (ripping from those -burned DVD+R before-)
So in that procedure the powerproducer is all the time on 7 % and its not going on.
The messages on powerproducer are:
"creating and organizing video folders..."
"making video thumbnail..."
hope you can help me
Muha
