I'll keep this simple. I have a an HD disc of a season of a show I like in file format. I can't even tell whether it's HD DVD or Bluray, but I'm assuming it's the former. The folders I'm dealing with are these:

    HVDVD_TS
    ADV_OBJ
    AACS Files

If needed, I can also list the contents of those folders and, by extension, their subfolders.

I tried to build an ISO image using ImageBurn as I've done many times before with the VIDEO_TS folder with plain old DVDs, and while that always worked great, it didn't do the trick when I tried to build using just the HVDVD_TS folder. Obviously, this new generation of HD formats makes things a bit more complicated..

So, my question is simple. How do I get from having these folders to being able to watch the content? I don't need to burn it or anything. I just want the content viewable on my PC.

    Thanks

It's a HD-DVD and you can play it with POwerDVD Ultra. See https://forum.videohelp.com/topic320548.html

That thread seems to contain a ton of info on how to create the backup in the first place.. I already have the backup. The software required section doesn't seem to distinguish between software needed to create the backup and software needed to play back the resulting files. Still, I'll try to follow that.. seems AWFULLY tedious, but I do appreciate the effort and time it took to create that guide. Guess that's telling of just how fresh the new formats are..
