  1. I'm trying to convert some avi files to vcd - I've used dvd flick, but everytime I load the avi it tells me that the file is too big - it seems to triple in size. Can anyone tell me how to do this or recommend other freeware to do this - I'm sure it should be simple

    Cheers

DVD Flick converts to dvd, not vcd. Try thefilmmachine or avi2dvd instead.

Or just get a cheap dvd writer.

You could also have used DVD2SVCD, which despite the name does allow for conversions to VCD. I believe that it allows for AVI input.
