I have a question about the PC display on my TV. The TV has a 5 inch border around the display when hooked up with the VGA port. I would like to eliminate this and have a full screen display. I don't have a DVI output on my computer. I would assume I need one to get it to be compatible with the component/hdmi inputs on the TV? Is this the best way to go, to switch my video card? If so, at what price? I did some quick pricing and see that video cards come in at $30-$400. What should I be looking at when choosing one?
I know that another option would be the Audio Authority 9A60 (I think).
When playing some larger size mkv files, the picture seems to stutter on my computer or my TV. Is this the fault of my current video card? I know this is a lot of questions, as I am totally green with the whole video card thing. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried different resolutions? What video card do you have? both nvidia and ati has lots of tv-out settings you can adjust.
If you have HD mkv files you probably have too slow CPU or if it's h264 hd files it might help to use CoreAVC as h264/avc decoder. -
