I won't bother filling this post, instead, I'll just provide the URL to my story about Best Buy and how they screwed me over three weeks...

I am NOT advising you do this, but just thinking about it might make you feel better.
I have used this line in two seperate, similar situations, and it has never failed.
"Bob, I expect this problem to be solved by first thing tomorrow morning. If it is not, I know where your office is and I will be there immediately. I will bring a hammer. I am going to break things, I am going to hurt people. Get it done." Delivered in a cold, rational, firm tone.
This could land you in deep trouble, both times I have used it the company was either in violation of the law and facing a hefty fine, or their conduct would be very embarassing to them if made public. Both cases involved an ongoing problem lasting nearly 6 months, one was resolved in less than 5 minutes and the other problem never ocurred again.
Best Buy employees are largely idiots, you have to be prepared for that. Pricing is among the best locally available, though, that's why I go there. -

Just thought I'd pass along my story. Its going to hopefully be read by someone at corporate HQ. -

Now if you think your horror story is bad look around for some of the people who bought their HDTVs from online resellers. I had one friend who became so obsessed with the poor service and excuses he was getting from the place that his wife almost left him over it.FB-DIMM are the real cause of global warming -

To the OP: It seems you have a lot of patience. If I had that sort of experience w/BEST BUY I'd tell them to shove the HDTV up their ********.
That's just bad customer service/bad business practices period. No wonder a few years ago there was a class action suit filed against them by 12 US states. Customer service is important to me as well as trying to get a good price on a electronic item. But if the customer service is shitty I'll go to another store to make my purchase even if the cost is a little more.

It's also one of the only things I've purchased a BB protection plan on only because I know if it ever does need to be replaced I'll be getting a larger one (they've discontinued mine).FB-DIMM are the real cause of global warming
