Howdy Yawl,
I just got my ATI TV Wonder card and after 3 days of playing with it have discovered the following:

The ATI TV software will only capture in a low rez .avi format or high rez in .mp2 using ATI's own proprietary VCR1 codec. I was able to
find and install the VCR1 codec on my machine so I could watch the captured files but I can't edit the files in Adobe Premier since it
refuses to open them and since I'm running Windows 2000 I don't have access to the ATI Video Editor which only runs under Win 98 (and may
only edit .AVIs anyway...)

My Adobe Premier will capture the video but not the audio to go along with it since it doesn't detect a Digital Video DV 1344 device!

Roxio Videopack can convert the .mp2 files to VCD .mpg but it seems to hang after converting the video as its trying to 'separate' the
audio & video for some reason.

Either way all of the above leaves me unable to: capture a/v and burn it onto VCD or SVCD which was the whole point in purchasing this
card. I want to take a lot of my video and transfer it to VCD/SVCD. I know some of you are doing this. Do any of you have any suggestions about how I can either:
a) edit my ATI VCR1 codec .mp2 files or
b) convert my ATI VCR1 codec .mp2 files to a format I can edit using Adobe Premier?

Thanks much.
Regards,
Pete
