    Hi,
I am having trouble backing-up my DVD Apacolypto.
I am using RipIt4Me to rip it and it works fine,I can watch the movie from the ISO file without any problems.
The problems happen when I burn(Using Nero 6.6.1.4).The first time I tried to burn it when I played it afterwards it had the Directors Commentary permanently stuck on so I tried burning it again and this time there is no volume at all?
I have used this setup(Nero and RipIt4Me)for awhile now and have backed-up my whole collection without a problem.
Any ideas as to what I can do to remedy the problem? I'm tiered of making coasters.

Any help is very much Appreciated
    Thank You

On the copy with the directors commentary - have you tried selecting another audio stream on your player? Sometimes the default audio is changed by the rip process.

    Hi oldandinthe way,
Yes,that was what I was thinking as I have had another DVD do that before but in this case it doesn't appear to be the problem.

    Hi hech54,
I don't think it is being updated either...but it still works so I haven't bothered to go to a different program.
Ripit4me is doing its job fine, as I mentioned I can watch the file on my hard drive without any problems its only when I burn it that the problem happens.

    ?
    Thanks Guys

You obviously have two audio tracts. Open the files in Shrink and play each audio tract alternately to be sure they are not mis-ID'd. Reauthor, unchecking the unwanted audio tract. Should take care of your problem.

Just a quick suggestion, try burning using IMGBurn and see what happens, its by the same guy who wrote DVD Decrypter

I proved a long time ago that Nero was the cause of DVDs refusing to play on two different players we had in the house, if it played it skipped or stuttered so much they were totally unwatchable, but the same disc would play perfectly on the other standalone player

All I did was use what was then DVD Decrypter to burn instead of Nero and all my problems went away. Exact same source, exact same media, exact same method and burning speed. The ONLY thing I changed was the software ti burn the DVD, so I now won't touch Nero for burning DVDs

Apparently RipItForMe is now no longer being updated, but AnyDVD is ...... and I've been using DVD Decrypyer with AnyDVD for about 3 years with no problems as yet

    Hi steptoe,
Up until now I have not had a single problem with Nero in fact it works great for my needs.
I have tried re-burning/ripping the movie using several other programs and still had the same problem.

I followed SmokieStover's advice and completely eliminated the Directors commentary and now have a watchable movie.
I'm still very curious as to why/what the problem was as I have never had it happen before and I have successfully backed-up my whole collection without a single hitch.

Thanks for all the help guys its very much Appreciated
    Thank You
