    Here's the problem...I have an MPEG2 format video that I want to alter the audio on. I've made my changes using Goldwave & have saved the audio as an mpg3. Now I know that if it was an AVI I could do it in VirtualdubMod, and have done it many times, but VirtualdubMod will not do it with an MPEG file. So now my question is...how do I replace the current audio in my MPEG2 video with my repaired mpg3 audio file?

    It's called muxing, https://www.videohelp.com/tools/sections/video-de-multiplexers , ImagoMPEG-Muxer or tmpgenc -> mpeg tools -> simple multiplex. But I'm not sure if you can have mp3 audio in a .mpg. Better would be mpa/mp2 or ac3 audio.

    Yes, we can. Software players should handle that without a complaint;
    hardware players are a different story.

    Thanks for the replies. Will download a couple of the suggested programs & give them a try.
