  1. Hi,

Recently I uploaded sum videos to an online vdo hosting service. My original files were in AVI. I downloaded the FLV version from the site after uploading it just to see what settings they use to convert their vdos so then I can use the same settings. But I convert my avi files using the same settings the quality is not the same!! Their quality is much better! Here are the parameters they use:

    Resolution: 426 x 320 px
    Framerate: 12 fps
    Bit rate: 140 KB/s

    Audio: 22050Hz, 14 kb/s , Monophonic

I used Riva FLV encoder. I normally use SUPER but it doesn't have support for custom resolutions.

Any ideas where I'm going wrong?
There is no patch for ignorance...

do not say a word about how the video is compressed.
Easy-to-use format converters actually hide from the user
how complex the subject video encoding really is.
BTW, and AFAIK, Riva is just a GUI for the command-line program
    ffmpeg.exe.
