  1. Hello all. I have been burning for over tow years now. All of a sudden, I'm having problems burning on my desktop. I can burn on my laptop with no problem. I originally had the same software on both computers. I used DVD Fab decrypter, DVD shrink, and DVD decrypter. Both computers are windows xp. I just changed the software to ripit4me, dvd shrink and Imgburn. the pc says operation successful but, it is not in DVD format. when I open the disc it just has folders with video_ts and audio_ts files. can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I haven't changed any settings. I'm flabbergasted. I have no problems burning on the laptop. There is one difference I noticed. when the movie has run through shrink and saved, on the laptop there is a "record now" icon. on the laptop there's a"nero" icon. Again, I have never had a problem before the last couple weeks. any help woould be greatly appreciated.

It still sounds like you have the proper files for a DVD (if in doubt, there's an explanation here: https://www.videohelp.com/dvd#struct ). Does the DVD play if you attempt to play it in a stand-alone player?

Do you have the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders at the root of the disc, with all of the files within those two folders?
If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

No. It won't play in a stand alone or in the DVD rom.

sorry, didn't answer this question in last post. All files on the disc are in the two folders mentioned above.

According to your first post....the only thing you've changed is RipIt4me.

  6. I guess you're right hech54. Imgburn is pretty much the same as DVD Decrypter. I'm really not understanding what's going on here. On my laptop I use DVD Fab Decrypter, DVD shrink and I'm assuming (since the interface looks the same) DVD Decrypter at teh end to burn. It works fine. The DVDs come out fine. However, this software combo won't produce a DVD that works on my desk top. It'll say "operation successful but, the DVD won't play in a stand alone DVD player or in my DVD rom. I tried to use ripti4me (which goes back into decrypter to me), shrink, and then I tried burning with Imgburn. Same results. The program will say "operation successful" but, the DVD will not play. Could it possibly be the writer? I'm totally confused at this point.

I'd separate the process out. I've never been a fan of RipIt4Me.

Does the ripped version play properly if you load the disc image or files into a software player on the computer?
