  1. Well, I decided to watch all of my SeVCD of Return of the Living Dead, instead of just a few seconds to check it. Sadly, it doesn't work well at all. Instead of just the time codes being all screwed up, it does the whole "speed up, slow down" thing that the 500w does on some VCDs(usually ones encoded with TMPG), but instead of occasionally, it did it EVERY MINUTE or so, making it very hard to tolerate.

    Guess I'll have to try again sometime.

  2. What's your source, how are you encoding it, what the sorce frame rate, etc. etc.

  3. Source: DivX file (650mb)
    I used Sefy's template, with these changes:

    Quality: 70%
    Highest Bitrate=850
    Audio=128k

  4. What's the framerate of the divx source? First quest is it's not 29.97 or 23.976?

  5. I don't have the DivX, so I have no idea. I think it was 29, though.

  6. If the MPEG is encoded/burnt and the source is gone you're most likely stuck with what you've got. Sorry

  7. Well, it runs fine on my PC, and the Apex AD-500w isn't exactly known for flawless VCD playback (however, I haven't had any DVD problems). I'll try again sometime, maybe with PBC off.
