My philips 5960/37 can play .avi w/ .srt file. But it could not use .sub and .idx file for subtitle. Any idea to overcome it? or can I convert .sub/.idx file to .srt file? Thanks.

  7. Mine plays all as long as the names are short. e.g. film.sub

Sometimes mine might be playing english subs but changes to spanish too for a minute. Or drops subs & I have to push the subtitle button again.

Keep in mind that the Subtitle file has to have the same name as the vid file in order for the 5960 to recognize it.

    Cheers!!
