My philips 5960/37 can play .avi w/ .srt file. But it could not use .sub and .idx file for subtitle. Any idea to overcome it? or can I convert .sub/.idx file to .srt file? Thanks.

Sometimes mine might be playing english subs but changes to spanish too for a minute. Or drops subs & I have to push the subtitle button again. -
Keep in mind that the Subtitle file has to have the same name as the vid file in order for the 5960 to recognize it.
Cheers!!
