Hello all!
Sorry to trouble you with what probably is a stupid question, but I´m a total newbie in this.
I´m trying to watch avi.s taken with my Canon ixus digicamera, but the DVP-5960 just says that it lacks codecs to play the files.
Can I download codecs for 5960, or should I convert my avi files (and if so-how and to what?)?
Thanks!

You may need to convert the avi files your camera has created to avi files that your standalone 5960 DVD player will recognize. I believe downloading codecs for your 5960 is not an option. Try looking here:

like powerpc123 said .you need to convert to dvd,or divx then copy the results to your flash drive or burn it to a cd. AutoGK for divx or ConvertXtoDVD (not free) for DVD
look under " Other info:" and try the old free DivXtoDVD 0.5.2,but the new one is better though
