    Is there anyway to stop the flashing "PLAY" message on a VCR so it will not convert to your capturing?
    Some of the videos I want to capture start playing as soon as you hit "Play" on the VCR therefore capturing that also.

    Nobody can help you based on the lack of details of make and model.

    General rule is some have settings that can disable that. Where and if depends on the make and model.
