I burned a DL+R the other day, after that, my dvd writer can no longer burn a -R disc. I am not sure why, I think it's probably changed the format or something. I am using a NEC 3520A writer and DVD decryptor program. I tried unstall and reinstall DVD decryptor, but still doesn't help. Would upgrade the firmware help? Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Try another burning tool first like imgburn, deepburner, etc.
