  1. Im going to try to export a 7 min film from premiere into divx, then into TMPGEnc, do i need a bit rate calculator or is there a standard i should use? I want the BEST quality I can since its a small video

    why do you want to have the Divx step in there. Divx is lossy.

    i recomend u try this instead.

    If you want the best quality do NOT export it to DivX and then re-"inflate" it to an Mpg. Export it to an uncopmpressed .avi (or use Huffyuv for the vid codec).

    ok thats what I thought, Im just having trouble doing that, when i exports through frameserving:

    1: the AVS file will not play in media player, it says invalid file
    2: if I stream it directly to TMPGEnc, everything is SLOW and the resolution is way off
