    Hi there.

I got 5 DVDs from the library on Friday. Four of them play just fine, but the 5th (24 HOURS ON CRAIGSLIST) won't play. In fact, the PC doesn't even acknowledge that the DVD is in the computer. This particular DVD worked on (1) my stand-alone DVD player and (2) my friend's PC.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

As it's from the library - Not much you can do, even if you managed to diagnose what's wrong with it. Be satisfied you can wach it on the standalone player. But - what software players have you tried on your system? VLC is usually the cure for most cases where video wont play using anything else.

I have VLC among others. The PC won't even acknowledge/read the disc. It will for my other discs, however. Even when I go to "My Computer," the PC acts like there is no disc inside. I don't think that it's the software player.

The other thing that I should mention is that even though the DVD is from the library, it's pretty clean.
