I'm hoping someone maybe has an answer to this problem as it's very frustrating.

I used Sony Vegas 7 to edit a 40 minute video. I then rendered that to an mpeg 2.

I import the edited video into Ulead DVD Movie Factory 6 and create my menu.

When this is done, I attempt to burn. Everything seems fine until I come back to find that there is an "Unspecified Error" and the burn was stopped, therefore only burning maybe 1/4 of my video.

To see if it was a problem with my video, I did a quick menu and burn in DVD Architect and it worked fine.

The only thing that seems strange, and I'm not sure if it is a problem, is that when I render in Vegas I render as mpeg 2. So I have no idea why Ulead still needs to re-render anything but it seems to be doing that.

Oh well. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Try this:

Use Movie Factory to create an .ISO file on one of your inboard drives. Burn that .ISO file with IMGBurn.

That's exactly how I do most of my stuff and (knocking on wood) I haven't had any problems. I did have a couple of issues when I tried to burn with Movie Factory in days gone by.

There's an option in ulead product to disable re-rendering of already compliant files ... use it .

Render to folder on hd first .
Use imgburn to burn video_ts to dvd .
