  1. I'm looking for some inkjet printable DVD's that also have a scratchproof coating on the bottom data layer. I've found TDK's scratchproof and Imation Forcefield discs, but neither are printable. It seems you have to choose between printable and scratchproof and also waterproof/smudgeproof.

Delkin Gold with Scratch Armor would be the only one I know of. I heard they use MAM-A dye but can't say for sure. Not exactly cheap at $2.60 per disc.

Others with anti-scratch coating, but not printable:

TDK Armor Plated or Medical Grade
    Verbatim Videogard or UltraLife
    Maxell Broadcast Quality
    Imation Forcefield
    Memorex Pro Gold

Well, maybe not Delkin either. It seems they are showing the Gold ones without the Scratch Armor in the pic, so I don't know.

  4. Too bad these are not Watershield discs!

  5. Ahh...I found those Verbatim Videogard printable discs online at MWave. Those are close to what I need. To make them waterproof, I suppose I can use a clear acrylic spray on top.

  6. Are you pretty proficient at spraying? I'm not; that's why I'd rather have the Watershield discs. Hopefully TY will implement videogard too...

  7. Those VideoGuard discs are far from scratch proof. They claim 40x more scratch resistant, it's more like maybe 4x from my experience.
