    Hello,

First off I'm new to the forum and just wanted to say thanks to all of you lending your knowledge to those who have limited...like me :P

Specially on this issue since I've been having the same problem. The only difference makes that I started off as a complete newbie (not that I'm even near to being an expert, I just understand some basic stuff now) trying to make VCD's that didn't work. From flickering on one player to sound unsyncronised on the other I couldn't fixem. Then when I rebooted my other comp wich has a DVD-R/RW DL on it I figured I'd make me DVD's instead.

Started with Nero...didn't work...went over to Convertxtodvd...didn't work...so I eventually I found this forum wich lead me to get IMGburn. But in my case that doesn't work either. I think I know what the problem is now though. The media I've been using is prolly very crappy. I use Replika wich isn't even in the DVD Media tab on this site.

I checked my cabinets and found Princo media wich I just now made a DVD with and am going to test. Got my fingers crossed. I'll post the results. If not good, I guess I'll check the DVD Media tab here to see wich DVD's are the best and go buy some of those.

    You guys got any suggestions?

PS. When I put the DVD in my computers DVD player it doesnt work on RealPlayer or Windows Media Player...although it does work fine in Nero Showtime...though I'd add that. This is btw the same with wichever converter and burner I worked with.

Oh alright, sorry bout that...I'm used to forums and all and I figured it would be ontopic since the problem that ocured to the author ocured to me aswell. But I get it now.

What I wanted to add is that I used a different media and it worked perfectly. I used Princo DVD-R and had no issues and near perfect DVD quality converted from Xvid.

Thing I'm wondering however...Since it was the media that made it not work, do you guys think I can burn with Convertxtodvd instead of IMGburn?
That way I can easily add chapters and menu's.

You might want to look at

for info on DVD media. Princo media is actually considered to be poor, but it may be better than whatever you were using before.

I have never used Convertxtodvd, but surely it's not required to burn with that. Usually a tool like this generates an ISO image or a set of DVD files from which an ISO image could be created and then burned with ImgBurn. It shouldn't be necessary to burn with Convertxtodvd.

ah alright, so I could basicly make the preperations with menu's and all on convertxtodvd and then burn those with Imgburn. Cool thanks.
