I have been searching the web for a DVD Recorder with HDMI out AND in, can't seem to find any. I want to hook up my HD satellite TV reciever/recorder to a DVD recorder (does not need to be HD, but would be nice) and still preserve the HD picture. So far all I can find is DVD recorders with S-video in. Does any one know where I can find this?

DVD recorder can't record HD streams, they need to be down converted in SD, that's probably why your hardly find one with HDMI in..

In that case, is there some kind of splitter that can be used to hook up both S-video and HDMI cables so I don't have to constantly be moving the TV to switch cables on the back when I want to record?
