I'm using TMPGenc version 2.02 with Win2K, and lately
lots of my AVI's only encode half the video. At some point
in the conversion process, the video goes BLACK. So I
cant get a full encode of some of my files.

Anyone having this problem? Any solution?

  2. Where is the AVI file from? Is it more than 9 minutes? Is it from some DV sources? Is so, you might need to do frameserving in Premiere to get the rest of the video after the 9 minute limit...

You can get frameserving (avisynth) info in "CONVERT" link on the left hand side.

Nope, the file is maybe 2 mins in length..and NOT from
A DV source. Very weird. I've tried TMPGenc, Cleaner 5,
    and XIng Encoder.

In Xing, I get the following error message, after it
encodes a third of the video...

    "improperly Installed VFW decompressor handler
    for AVI files"

I'm clueless about what that means.

  5. I have had a similar problem with 2 separate avi's that I am trying to convert. Both are aprx 2 hrs in length. With one file the conversion process seems to go ok, but whenever I try to play the mpg file it has no sound. I had gotten an error message orginally, and then I changed the sound from 44100 to 44800 and then it seemed to work ok. The other file I have gets about 3% into the conversion and then it comes up with a invalid mpg stream error every time. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
