Yes, could be because he thinks a DVDR really holds 4.7GB.
Since I'm not a big fan of encoding followed by the use of Shrink (or the use of Shrink any time, actually), I'd suggest doing it over again, this time setting 4.3 GB as your final size. Like in the Guide:

If you already had it like that, then I don't know either. Maybe give it a custom size of 4450 MB, or something like that. -
Yeah i already had the setting to 4.3gb here is the message i was given when it error's
"Unable to find cells that could be used for layer break! Now would be a good time to cry because technacally this is the end of the world.
Does this mean there's a error within the avi??? -
Seems to be a bug in DVDFlick, maybe. A layer break refers to where the DVD will be split when being burned to a dual-layer disc. It has nothing to do with the AVI. It was too large for a single-layer DVDR, so a layer break for a dual-layer disc was needed. If it had made it the correct size to begin with, the layer break wouldn't have been needed, and you wouldn't have gotten that message.
There's a new version of the program out as of the 4th. If you're not using it, maybe try again using the new one. Among the fixes is this:
* Fixed: Bitrate was fixed to 6000 Kbit/s before, which could lead to oversized discs and other oddities. -
Not very familiar with DVDFlick, but it sounds like one of two problems here, either the software is set up to try to burn a DL disk, if though you sized at 4.3GB it may be trying to break it up when writing to the DVD. The other possibility is that it may be a DVD+R or DVD-R problem. I believe the DVD-R's hold a small amount more data then the DVD+R's, so if the software is setup for DVD-R and your burning to DVD+R it may not fit.
If that don't work, I agree with the first reply for using DVD Shrink, the quality loss will not be noticeable for the small amount of oversizing you have and is a quick fix I've used before with other DVD Authoring software that made the final ISO a bit to big.
