Looking to purchase a ext HDD 2.5" 300-500gb to store and play music and divx movies on the HTS3440-37....has anyone done attempted on this philips model dvd player???.....thanks

Yes I use an 300 GB external HDD all the time. The only downside is the video will get bumpy occasionally when playing large files.
