Adding chapters to vobs

Hi I have a DVD with vob files etc but need a program to add chapters so it can be read in dvd-shrink using re-author

any suggestions

There may be occasions where you may want to add a chapter marker to a movie. This will most likely involve splitting a cell, since chapters can only begin on new cells.

The easy way to do this is with VobBlanker.

You don't need chapters for Shrink to be able to read it. You do need a valid DVD structure, including IFO files. These can be created with IFOEdit.

Shrink does not need chapters. It does need valid IFO files, and depending on the state of the VOBs, even IFOEdit might not be able to create them.

Where did these VOBs come from that they don't have the other required files ?

Simplest solution, seeing you were going to re-author anyway, would be to use VOB2MPG to get the titles out of the VOBs, then re-author using GUIForDVDAuthor to create a usable disc.

Did you press the "Get VTS Sectors" button and then save the IFOs once IFOEdit was done ? This is a fairly common oversight when using IFOEdit to recreate IFOs is all.
