I know many of your don't recommend the use of winavi but i enjoy the simple use of it but i have one problem. Also i am fairly new to converting avi into dvd's and that's why i don't mind the simple way for right now. My problem is that i don't get any audio on some of the coverisons i do. If the file has AC3 audio there is no problem with the audio, however if it is something else then the audio doesn't come up at all. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and how i can fix it.

Do you hear the sound if you play the dvd on your computer using a software dvd player? It could be mpeg audio and it might not work on some standalone dvd players.

Or try another easy tool like ConvertXtoDVD.
