Hi! I'd like to know how can I make compatible some DVDs I recorded on this little piece of sh## of mine. I have been recording several TV shows, and later i rip them to my notebook, cut the intervals and put them all toghether on a DVD with menu and so on. But some discs just seem not to be 'readable' after i record them. even on the player itself! It just says the disc is blank and doesn't recognize the videos it recorded earlier. It happened in more than one media (I'm using primarily Philips DVD+RW media) and several times! Unfortunately it's out of guarantee now... any help will be more than appreciated! Thanks a lot!
Ah... I already tried to finalize the discs in Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 and Nero 6.6... none of them can close the discs! I'm trying to rip some directly to the computer, but still some are not recognized! If anyone could tell me software that does extract EVERYTHING from the disc, I'd be glad!

    THANKS AGAIN!

Chances are it isn't pc or software related. The most likely culprits are the discs or the player itself, especially when the player itself cannot read the disc it just created. There have been several other threads lately with other players having the same issue.

Sorry bad news, but when I had a philips DVDR3305 I tryied a few times to copy a full +RW disk to R to wipe the RW using a nero image. Quite a few times nero couldn't copy it and I still have 1 or 2 disks which I'll just have to wipe. They were probably cheap disks but it didn't even like the philips -RW 2x disks I had? Anyway my Sony GX300 produces much safer disks (not happy with PQ though) even on rubbish disks (not advised). So I would consider selling it, I hope you didn't pay too much, I found my local paper freeads got me the best price, ebay will offer up to much competition.
