I have a brand new Philips DVP3982. Whenever I put in a burned DVD+R, I get the "No Disc" message (disc has divx files burned to it).
I have tried finalizing the disc, and tried 2 different brands.
I have burned CDRs, and it reads them just fine (divx files also burned).
It reads retail DVDs fine.
Any ideas?

I have a few ideas.
1) It could be bad quality DVD media. Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden are the only consistently excellent manufacturers these days. Every one else is suspect.
2) It could be that you burned a multi-session disc and this player has problems with that.
3) It could be that one of your files is over 2 GB in size and you had to burn a UDF disc and the player doesn't like that.
4) You aren't very interested in giving details, so it could be that something is wrong with your burning process. -
Use rewritable DVD disks ... that is what I do to watch my Buffy The Vampire Slayer ... divx videos
