Has anyone heard of any compatibility issues with the Canopus ADVC-110 and Windows Vista? Also does anyone have recommendations for a capture card to use with Vista? Thanks in advance.

There shouldn't be any problems with a ADVC-110 and Vista. For capture cards, there are about 9 listed in our capture card area for the PCI-E interface and 400+ for the PCI. AGP would be rare with Vista as most installs would be on newer systems without AGP. Compatibility would vary by video card manufacturer, mostly for software and drivers.

Hauppauge has some external capture devices that may work well.

Another subject is TV tuner cards, as most areas are going to HDTV and that may be a consideration for capture.

Since the ADVC-110 interfaces through the IEEE-1394 port with standard DV protocol and has no software, there is no reason to expect problems with Vista, XP, Linux or MacOS.

The ADVC-300 has remote control software that should be checked for compatibility.

I can say it works fine.
