I was just wondering if someone could post what are the best settings to use for the best quality DVD to SVCD rip through TMPGEnc. Basiclly I would like to do rips comparable to the new LOTR DVD/SVCD rip. Would appreciate any help/feedback/advice people have to offer. Any why they use those setting. Also is there anything special i will need ot do to have a widescreen rip through TMPGEnc, like a special setting or anything or can I just rip the widescreen VOB's and encode them and the rip will be widescreen. Thanks in advance guys, and hopefully my custom LOTR DVD/SVCD covers will be posted soon on www.cdcovers.cc so check em out, they look great for the 4 disc set. Later

Look into using CCE, for SVCD its better than TMPGenc...if you are going to use multipass VBR. For CBR at the max bitrate (about 45min on 80 min CD) you will do just as well with TMPGEnc I think. That LoTR rip is about 45min for each CD.
